Pine Bluff : Arkansas

Pine Bluff is a city in Jefferson County which was named for a bluff along the Arkansas River. It is in the Central Standard time zone on the Arkansas River.

Its convenient location in the mid-south region of Arkansas is suitable for serving as a major trade center for the southeast portion of the state. Pine Bluff is located at the heart of a rich agricultural region in the Arkansas River Basin. Agriculture is the main occupation of the people of Pine Bluff. The main agricultural products include cotton, soybeans, cattle, rice, poultry, timber and catfish. It also has a number of industries as well which include processing of cotton, paper and wood and wire products, electric transformers and metal fabrication.
