Fayetteville : Arkansas

Fayetteville, a city in Washington County is located at the foothills of the Ozark Mountains. It is on the White River, near the Oklahoma border, is the southernmost city in metropolitan Northwest Arkansas and home of the Razorbacks. One tradition says that the community was named for Fayetteville, TN while another says it was named directly for the Marquis de Lafayette. It is favorite place among families, corporate professionals, small business owners, students and nature lovers mainly because of its picturesque surroundings, rich history, cultural interest, educational excellence and healthy economy.
